Recently, Healthgrades partnered with Code.org, a non-profit organization that believes every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn computer science, just like biology, chemistry or algebra. As the leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals, Healthgrades is proud to partner with Code.org and as part of our partnership, Healthgrades will help host an Hour of Code with elementary schools near our four offices, in Atlanta, Denver, Madison and Raleigh.

The Hour of Code campaign has engaged 10% of all students in the world and provides the leading curriculum for K-12 computer science in the largest school districts in the United States.

The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science and was designed to demystify "code,” and to show that anybody can learn the basics.  It has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, starting with one-hour coding activities, but expanding to all sorts of community efforts.

If you work at an elementary school in Atlanta, Denver, Madison or Raleigh and would like to take part in an Hour of Code with Healthgrades, please contact us at communications@healthgrades.com.
